Thousands of young people have been denied mental health treatment since the SNP introduced a new waiting time target. In December 2014 the SNP government introduced a waiting time target of 18 weeks for child and adolescent mental health services (CAMHS). Since then 7,346 referrals for treatment have been rejected.
