The SNP aren't delivering on student hardship. We know financial hardship makes students drop out and prevents them getting the best education they can.
But the poorest students in Scotland get almost £2000 less support a year than in the rest of the UK.
We believe that hardship help is essential for those in Scotland who need support to stay in higher education to fulfil their potential.
The Scottish Government has put £30 million on the table and Scottish Labour MSPs want:
A £7000 minimum income for the poorest students
A £500 increase to the Young Student's Bursary
£200 more into all student's pockets through the non means tested loan
£2 million to be invested in funds to alleviate hardship and help with childcare
