SALMOND ‘OUT OF TOUCH’ WITH SCOTS
Scottish Labour leader Iain Gray has said that Alex Salmond’s promise to make independence a bigger priority than people’s jobs shows he is out of touch with ordinary Scots.
Scottish Labour leader Iain Gray said:
“Alex Salmond’s comments show that he is out of touch with ordinary Scots. He has stopped speaking to the country and is now only concerned with placating his own activists.
“There is no other explanation for his pledge to make the constitution a bigger priority than people’s jobs in next year’s election campaign. It shows that Alex Salmond and the SNP have run out of steam
“Under Alex Salmond’s leadership, Scotland has fallen behind the rest of the UK with lower growth, fewer business start-ups and higher unemployment.
“My priority as Scottish Labour leader will be to get Scotland back to work and protect our public services. Every time he talks about the constitution I will talk about jobs.”
