John Park MSP was elected as a regional list member for Mid Scotland and Fife on 3rd May 2007.

John is currently the Shadow Minister for Economy and Skills - a post he was appointed to in September 2008. 

Mid Scotland and Fife is one of the larger regions represented in the Scottish Parliament and stretches from Brechin and St Andrews in the East to Dunfermline and Stirling in the South to Tyndrum and Crianlarich in the West and North to beyond Pitlochry. 

John started his working life as an apprentice in Rosyth Dockyard and was an active trade unionist. You can read more about John's background here.
