Jackie has been proud to represent Dumbarton Constituency since 1999. She lives in Dumbarton and is married with one daughter. Prior to this she worked in both the public and voluntary sector, most recently as a Community Economic Development Manager for a local authority.
In the past, Jackie served as Deputy Minister for Communities from 1999 until 2000, before being promoted to Social Justice Minister from 2000 until November 2001.
In 2007 Jackie returned to Labour's front benches as Shadow Minister for Parliamentary Business. Jackie is currently serving as Shadow Cabinet Secretary for Health.
