Scottish Labour leader Iain Gray has given his support to the families' petition calling for a public inquiry into C. difficile. He said the case for a public inquiry is overwhelming and he was pleased to sign the petition.
Scottish Labour leader Iain Gray said:
"The outbreak of C. difficile at the Vale of Leven Hospital is the worst ever in the UK. The case for a public inquiry is overwhelming and I am pleased to add my name to the families' petition.
"Nicola Sturgeon is the only obstacle to the inquiry that we need. In the interests of justice for those who died, she must change her mind. Parliament voted to support a public inquiry in September. What is she afraid of?"
