Anne Begg welcomes lowest interest rates since 1951
Following the annoucement that the Bank of England has cut interest rates to the lowest levels since 1951, Anne Begg MP said:
“I very much welcome the interest rate cut. It is good news for Scottish families and businesses.
“It is the right decision for the Scottish economy and, coupled with Gordon Brown’s measures yesterday, will be a great relief to many homeowners. It is vital that banks now pass on the cut to all mortgage holders.”
